Dear all,
Cycle Against Suicide is inviting companies and its employees to join its ‘Cycle of Hope – Workplace Challenge’ for World Suicide Prevention Day, September 10th, and take a visible stand for suicide prevention.
This year marks the third and final year of the global theme ‘Changing the Narrative on Suicide’, a call to challenge the way we talk about suicide, create space for open and honest conversations, and strengthen the connections that can help save lives.
We are asking organisations to bring together a group of colleagues to champion this initiative in their workplace. Colleagues who will encourage others to get involved and help create a workplace where connection, belonging, open conversation and looking out for one another are part of working life.
These are more than positive workplace values, they are important protective factors in suicide prevention. Strong social connections, supportive relationships, a sense of belonging and knowing that there are people we can turn to when times are difficult can help protect our mental health and reduce the risk of suicide.
By joining our Cycle of Hope-Workplace Challenge, even for just one day, your organisation can help strengthen these protective factors, bringing people together, building connection, encouraging conversations and creating a culture where people feel seen, supported and able to ask for help.
This is a simple and meaningful way for employees to come together. Further details are available at: https://www.
Kind regards,
Caroline Lafferty
