Project Description

What can PIPS do for you?

PIPS provide counselling and complementary therapies, home visits, one to one sessions, and support groups in Northern Ireland.

What can PIPS do for you?
PIPS Charity can provide support to individuals who are considering, or who have at some point considered, ending their own lives.  PIPS can also provide support for families who have been touched by suicide throughout Northern Ireland.

Who can contact PIPS?
PIPS Charity offers a ‘no appointment’ service to ensure there is always someone to contact for a chat when a person might feel vulnerable, might be at risk of suicidal behaviours or in need of assistance or guidance. The PIPS team are trained to deal with all your needs. Whatever your problem, PIPS will either help you or guide you to someone or some service who will.

What happens when you contact PIPS?
When a person goes to PIPS for help they will be spoken to immediately and a support plan will be put in place. PIPS Charity offers an appropriate service to cater for individual needs. These may include

  • Counselling (one to one sessions and support groups)
  • Alternative Therapies
  • Crisis Support
  • Bereavement Support
  • Befriending, including group activities
  • Signposting- provides a valuable link to statutory services and relevant agencies.

There are a number of different PIPS branches throughout Northern Ireland, including Belfast, Downpatrick, Newry, Mourne, Larne and Lurgan. PIPS will be there whatever your problem. PIPS is your light in the dark.
